The Kisi grape is a real crowd-pleaser, and not only because its name sounds similar to the English word “kiss.” Ruispiri’s 2019 Kisi was made in qvevri in the winery’s distinctive style. Full-bodied and intensely deep amber in colour, it is a remarkably stable and clean natural wine made without added sulphur or other additives. It also has a pronounced tannic structure, which is not usually associated with this grape variety.
