Winemaker, Zsófia Laposa, took her experience working in wineries in France, Italy, California, and Badacsony and started a personal project which quickly turned into a boutique winery on Badacsony. Her focus is clear: small volumes, volcanic terroir, Balaton. The approach in both vineyard and cellar leans natural, but without making a point of it. More a quiet philosophy: each vintage is different, and that’s not something to correct. The goal isn’t control at all costs, but to let the wine reflect what happened in that year. There is also an educational side to this project. Zsofia offers courses, programs, and consulting which fits well with her overall tone of direct, personal, and engaged winemaking.
