Kolonics Pincészet’s Syrah reveals a less familiar side of Somló. Produced in a very small quantity, it fermented on the skins for five weeks before ageing for eighteen months in a third-use, 500-litre Hungarian oak barrel.

Concentrated and firmly structured, with mature tannins, spice and the depth of Somló’s volcanic ground. Slightly wild yet composed, it gives the hill a distinctly different voice.
