Barnabás Pince is a tiny family winery at the top of the Aranyhegy vineyard on Somló’s southern side. Tóth Barnabás discovered this 0.58-hectare site in the early 2000s and began learning the craft of winemaking with the guidance of legendary Somló winemaker Béla Fekete.
The estate works exclusively with Furmint and Hárslevelű, producing only a little over a thousand bottles each year. Its microscopic scale allows the focus to remain firmly on the character of Aranyhegy, careful vineyard work and uncompromising quality. Serious, small-production Somló wines closely tied to one remarkable piece of the hill.
