Baráth Borműhely

Baráth Borműhely is a small, organically farmed estate on the southern and western slopes of Somló. After nearly two decades of winemaking experience on the hill, Sándor Baráth began building his own winery in 2020.

Old vines and low yields are central to the approach, providing concentrated, characterful fruit. The wines are made naturally with minimal intervention, generally fermenting and ageing in oak or ceramic amphora before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. These are small-production wines with a distinctly Somló identity, placing the vineyard and the character of the old vines at the centre.
