Fekete Pince Somló

Fekete Pince is one of Somló’s defining traditional wineries. Béla Fekete began building the estate on the southern side of the hill in the 1970s, and his name became closely associated with the classic, long-lived style of Somló. The winery changed ownership in 2014, but the new generation has deliberately continued the approach and traditions he established.

The wines are shaped by Somló’s volcanic terroir, firm acidity and extended ageing. The estate works primarily with Furmint, Juhfark, Hárslevelű and Olaszrizling, using traditional methods and allowing many wines several years in the cellar before release. These are substantial, patient wines focused on depth, structure and the enduring character of Somló.
